The name coworo (コヲロ) comes from the Kojiki, Japan's oldest chronicle. It's the sound of water being stirred, a word for whirlpools and turning. The beach, the sound of the waves, a warm foot bath: everything here is about water.
The bath curls through the room like a tide swirl instead of running in a straight line. Guests sit facing each other, so even if you come alone you don't feel apart from anyone.

Never been to a foot-bath café? It's easy. You don't need to bring anything.
Come down the stairs to the half-basement café. Take off your shoes and socks. There's a little bag for your socks.
Foot-bath guests order at least one drink or food item (one order per person). Settle into the water while you choose from the menu.
An organic-cotton towel comes with the foot bath. When you're done, dry off, put your shoes back on, and head out to the beach feeling new.
♨️ The water keeps circulating and is filtered and sanitized, so it stays clean. Smooth stones on the bottom give your soles a gentle massage as you roll them underfoot.

The warm shelves behind the counter hold the host's own collection of pottery. You never quite know which cup your drink will arrive in, and that's half the fun. Counter and table seats are here for café-only visits.
The owner visited foot-bath cafés all over before opening coworo, and wanted one where nobody feels rushed. That's why there's no time limit. The swirl-shaped bath was designed so strangers would end up face to face, and connections would start naturally.
"Come in, come in."
That's how one visitor remembers being welcomed at the door. Expect a warm hello, and water that's been tended with care.

coworo hosts small workshops and events. Matcha workshops and foot reflexology accept reservations anytime—ask in store or on Instagram. Tea ceremony with sound bath and other special events are announced on Instagram.
